More Ford 3000 starting problems

We got our 1970 Ford 3000 3 cylindet Diesel to start a few days ago by pulling it with a neighbors tractor. It seemed to run good with no issues. After we shut it down, it won't start with the battery. We just added a 950 cranking amp battery. Any ideas on what I can check. As always thank you all in advance!

More info would be helpful here. Does the engine turn over slowly? Does it simply click? Does it make no
noise at all when you turn the key?

Disconnect and clean both ends of both battery cables, as well as the cable between the solenoid and starter. Also try moving the negative battery cable to one of the bolts that mounts the starter to the engine if it's not already going there. Clean all of the connectors/studs/bolts that make the connections as well.

Engine must crank at correct speed.

Verify that battery cables are of proper size (12V auto parts store battery cables are not adequate), clean and tight on both ends.

I cleaned all the ends of the battery cables and reattached the negative battery ground to the bolts that attach it to the frame. It cranks but not starting. How many RPMS should it be turning at?
