Jubilee Valve Cover

Looking for some advice. My Jubilee had a cracked head and block that caused the coolant to mix with the engine oil. I have had a different head and block rebuilt. The coolant in the oil caused a lot of corrosion on the inside of the valve cover. I have cleaned up the inside of the valve cover the best that I can, but didn't know if I should be using it as it is or if I should be going another direction. I was wondering if anyone has encountered this and how they proceeded. Is their anything that I should apply to the inside of the valve cover to keep the corrosion down or will the oil take care of that once the tractor is back up and running? Or should I be looking for a different valve cover that doesn't have the corrosion on the inside?

I would not be afraid to use it, maybe rub some oil on it then the oily atmosphere inside would keep it from rusting any more.
