Was pulling a stump out last weekend and snapped the end off my Ford 723 hoe boom. I'm sure I can fix it but I need a blueprint of it so I make sure to get the measurements correct. Does anyone know where I can get those or have one lying around? Thanks!

Have some. Located in Great Meadows NJ 07838. What measurement or part did you need?

I don't think that New Holland intentionally purged anything. There was just no concerted effort to archive that kind of data back in the day. Plus there was a fire that destroyed al lot of old Ford tractor data at one point.

Thanks, Andy. I was told by a dealer that after New Holland took over they purged all the Ford drafts. Thought I'd check here because there are a lot of folks with a bevy of knowledge who just might have some insight.

I seriously doubt you'll be able to find any blueprints for the 723. Best you can do is surmise the measurements from the broken parts and parts diagrams (link below). Either that or find a parts 723 and swap the boom.

Today's Featured Article - Two-Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. Whether for product liability or because the aftermarket parts and labor business is lucrative, this concept is disturbingly prevalent. Fortunately when you step into your shop and make that jump 50 years back in time to work with your old tractor, this concept goes out the window. Even so, when it comes to the charging system, people quickly revert to this idea and start replacing the major components one at a time until it works. The reason you don't find any decals in your replacement set wit ... [Read Article]
