Ford 515 ignition

I picked up a 515 with a no start condition. Was not getting spark so I dug in and now I'm stuck. I cannot find the points that fit anywhere. Want to get it fired and test run before I get too deep money wise. Can anyone help me out. It's a 3 cyl gas model DU224c.

There were far fewer 515's made than its ag tractor sibling made at the same time period, the 4600. The 515 had the same engine as the 4600 so searching for ignition parts would be easier by searching for 4600 parts instead. In fact the same distributor was used for most 3 cylinder gasoline tractors from 1965 through at least the mid-80's.

rotor - C5NF12200A (superseded by 87727237)

Mine look very much like that however it has a brass/copper pin that comes up through the spring from the plate in the distributor, I think it can be removed but I am not sure. I will see if i can figure out how to post a picture.

Also my condensor bolts down in the middle of the back side not the end, I tried that condensor and it wouldn't fit.

It has the mechanical advance on it. I'm not saying it's original because I'm not sure it is. However almost all the 515 and 4600 replacement units I have found also have mechanical advance.
Thanks

Soaking the bolts on it now to try to get it off without a cutoff wheel. Tomorrow it comes off one way or another!

The original had both centrifugal (mechanical) and vacuum advances.

Tisco sold aftermarket distributors made by Perstolite for 8N's, I wonder if they made one for the 3 cylinder models.

It's a Mallory YL711AYH which from my internet search leads down another dead end.

Mallory YL series! Didn't know they made a distributor for these tractors.
Go to Jegs, in the top search box punch in the part numbers.
Part # 650-25042 is the points $24.01
Part # 650-400 is the condenser $8.22
They don't offer much for those old distributors anymore.
If you break the cap or rotor button your done

You my friend are a bad@$$. Thank you very much!

Now I need to find a support group for guys who buy ford tractors off facebook marketplace.

Used to run Mallory YL series distributors in old muscle cars, the red rotor button made me thing of Mallory but I didn't know they made those distributors for tractors. Learned something new today.

Can't help with the support group on Facebook, don't have Facebook but there's a pretty good group here.
