Ford Dual Remote Valve

Hello, Need some help identifying the pictured remote valve. It is on my Ford 850. It has FOMOCO cast into it but no part numbers except on the handles. The part numbers are for the handles. I think I have a handle on how it works, but I cannot find any information on it at all. i.e. model number, documentation etc. Went to the New Holland dealer and they had nothing. It appears to me to be a dual action valve, ie in and out. One side is split on the output using one port. One side is plumbed for in and out using both ports. It has a float adjustment knob in the front. Not sure what its purpose is. Any help would be appreciated.

Let me start by saying I'm not an expert on these valves.

That one is from a later tractor, like a Ford 3000.
The handles are curved as they are to clear the draft/position
control selector lever. The ones off the x00/x01 series work on
a 3000, but the levers hit the selector. Yep, experienced it.
I see no reason it wouldn't work on an X00/X01.

The side that is T'd or Y'd has a second port. It has a plug in it.
The ports are labeled lift and drop #1 and #2 on each side I think.
The float knob lets it do just that - float up and down.
No pressure either way.

X00/X01 Dual remote on a 3000. Note the two plugs in the near side of mine.

In addition, I believe that allen screw on the right in your third picture changes the valve on that side between single acting and double acting, and since one of its ports is currently plugged I would think that it is currently in single acting mode. You should be able to change it to double acting mode by turning that allen screw and removing the plug from the second port.

IIRC, it covers one of the various designs of Ford remote valves, but not this one.

It's in the factory service manual, part 16 Accessories and General

Double spool valve with detents
Valve models 309675, 309724, 309727
There's a exploded view I can take a photo of and post later.

Hello all,

Thank you for the info. I'll check the Manual, I don't recall seeing it in there, but I may have missed it. There is always an answer here, I really appreciate the wealth of knowledge and willingness to share.

Thanks again.

Destroked, I checked my manual(Service Manual) and it is not there. In the FO 20 it speaks of a Cessna valve, but looks nothing like mine. A photo would be very helpful.
Thanks

IIRC, the FO-20 manual covers the valve most commonly found (standard equipment?) on 960/1 tractors.

This single spool valve is SA/DA with detent kick out. Very good valve but not the valve in either photo in this thread.

Hey Destroked, thank you so much, you just made my day. The pics will help immensely. I'll be looking for some literature on them.
