So I have I believe a Ford 4000. S 4 speed tranny and reverse . Pto can be cut on and off here are the following numbers I have found any help would be appreciated

C0NN6015J is the casting code for a 172 ci 4 cylinder engine made from late 1960 when the 801 series was still in production through the end of the 4 cylinder 4000 series production run at the end of 1964.

3A24 looks like a date code for January 24 1963.

I'm not sure what 310835 is. It looks too high to be a serial number for any year 801 or 4 cylinder 4000 series.

I know where you found the engine casting code (C0NN6015J), but where did you find the other two?

Also, have you looked on the flat spot on the left side of the bell housing near the starter for the stamped numbers there?

all the numbers I had one on the right side of tractor I didn t see a plate by the starter and I looked. I have the starter off now getting it rebuilt

No plate! just numbers stamped in the flat part of the casting beside the battery box.

Sean: 310835 is a casting code for the transmission. Consistent
with a 1963 four-speed.
