NEED HELP TO ID 600 or 650

new here first time poster , my daughter bought some land with a ford tractor on the land and it does not run as the wiring is all bad I going to try and rewire everything , but my problem is , on the front it has 600 but on the trans case its stamped 650 , so what did she get ? its has a 5 speed trans , pto , 3 point lift . any help ...

600 is the series. 650 is the model within the 600 series. I believe that your serial number would make it a 1955. (I believe that the 600 series was introduced as a 1955 model, but actual manufacturing started in late 1954. Various sources that list serial numbers by year sometimes are based on the "model year" and sometimes on the "manufacture year".

600 Series.
640 - 4 speed with transmission pto
650 - 5 speed with transmission pto
660 - 5 speed with Live pto

Engine, electrical, steering,
hydraulics, rear end and 3 point is
