So I bought a new boot for the trans shifter, and can not figure out how to get that thing on there. Does the shifter handle top unscrew? This seemed the most logical method, but I cannot get it to turn and wanted some input before I apply more force. I also saw some tips on here about soaking the boot in hot water so it can stretch. I assume that was referring to it seating properly once on the shaft, correct?
