Carriage bolts again

Looks like I need to buy 3-1/2" long carriage bolts for loop rims and weights on my Belgium built 1969 4000.

Can get grade 5 bolts online priced reasonably, but they're 5/8-11 instead of 5/8-18.

Should I use flat and lock washers? Nylocks? Don't worry about it, I'm overthinking things again?

I would use nyloc nuts and flat washers with the 11 count threads. The 18 count threads hold better with regular nuts.
