600 won't start

Hi all. I've been looking for a site like this for a while. I'm brand new , just registered, and I have a problem for the wise minds here. I have a Ford 600 that won't start. It had been sitting for a few years, and I decided to get her running again. I started by cleaning the fuel system, next I gave it a new cap, rotor, points, and coil. I can get it to turn over but not start. There is power to the coil and I get a good spark at the points, but not at the plugs. I checked the rotor to cap contact and it seems to be good( there is a little springiness when I push the cap down on the rotor). All seems right, there is just no spark at the plugs. I'm not sure what I'm missing here. All advice is welcome, and sorry for the lengthy first post. Thanks in advance for any help.

new cap, rotor, points, and coil.

What about the high tension wire from the coil to the center of the distributor cap and the plug wires? Start with the high tension wire. Pull the one end form the from the distributor cap and hold that near a good clean ground and see if you gat a spark there when you crank the starter.

You don't mention a new condenser, but if you replaced that also, put the old one back in and check for spark. New condensers out of the box have been known to be bad.

Jim,Sean; Thanks for the quick replies. I will check the coil wire and most likely replace the condenser. It just has been a lot of years since I
messed with the old points and condenser system. Hopefully this will do the trick. If not I'll be right back....

I checked the coil wire and it was in good shape. Next I replaced the condenser, Boom, fired right up and purred like a kitten. Thanks for the help and advice, she's running like I she should. Thanks again, Jim.

Showcrop, I don't know what brand condenser I took out, but where I live is rather rural and we don't have a great deal of parts houses available. I went to NAPA first and they were out of stock, so I ended up at Oreilly'sAuto Parts and all they had for me was their house brand, MasterPro. So far it seems to be holding up.
