TACH DRIVE ON FORD 3000

Just removed my tach drive again, cleaned it up and ready to reinstall. What kind of grease do I use in it and should I pack it or just part way? I have some wheel bearing grease, but not sure if that is the correct kind. Thanks in advance!!!

On the rear of the genny? I use a blog of grease in it on reassembly. Some use white lube, some graphite, others use a lithium based grease. I use motorcycle cable lube on the tach cables for long term lube.

Yes, on the rear of the genny. Last time I had it apart and cleaned it up, I filled it with a bearing lube, it shouldn't be filled? I thought that it would be ok, but I wonder if I put too much in it? I will use one of those you mentioned for it, and pick up some cable lube for the cable (I did use spray graphite on the cable). I'm doing something wrong account I've had the cable break at the drive three times...I've got it routed the right way, and I checked the dash hook-up and drive to make sure they were operating right. Too much grease in drive I wouldn't think would cause it to break, it must be binding somehow, can't figure it out.
