Where was ford 5000 built

Hi TN

Numbers should have three parts and bottom number which should start with either a B or C followed by six numbers. B denotes built at Basildon England or C is USA Romeo plant? I am no expert but that is what I found. Here in Australia our 5000s came from Basildon.

Hope that helps.

Serial number starting with ""A" means that it was assembled at the plant in Antwerp Belgium. "B" means Basildon in the UK, and "C" means one of the US plants, as they moved the tractor assembly line at least once in the US but kept the "C" designator on the serial number.

5000 FORDS would have been built in Highland Park, Michigan. I'm thinking the 2600-7600 series was when it moved to Romeo for the C prefix units.
