I searched the forum and Internet to no avail for an answer.
I have a late '60s - early '70s 2000. When it sits for a few days without running, the voltage regulator loses polarity and the battery will not charge. If I flash the regulator it works fine, generator provides good charge. I'm at a complete loss as to why the regulator looses polarity. Wiring is good, nothing shorting or open anywhere. Works like a charm until it sits for 3-4 days then has to be flashed again.
