Work continues on my 871. I?ve made Band 1 adjustments, changed the transmission fluid, tuned up the engine with new cap, rotor, oil, gaskets, and plugs. Cleaned the fuel tank and replaced fuel line, and ensured carb is flushed. Replaced rear hydraulic fluid and rear axle fluid. Fixed the traction coupler too.
R1, 1, 2, 5, 6 and 9 operate but they randomly slip out and don't engage while driving the tractor after it is at working operating temperature . Larry NCKS suggested that the overrunning clutch may be faulty.
I have not done pressure tests but i will on this 312259 SOS.
Im fairly confident I can split the tractor. However, i need to know how accessible the ORC is and if parts are available to replace it as described in the manual.
Can someone help me locate an ORC for this. I might be best off finding the newer ORC than the original type. Seems like the manual indicates this.
