Best front tires for Ford 3000

Any ideas on sizes and tires for front of Ford 3000 diesel with Ford 720 loader? Something that can hold the weight and still cut in the dirt to steer when ploughing

I assume that you want to stay with the original 16 inch rims?

I replied in your other thread that most folks use truck tires on the front when they add a loader, but you hadn't said anything about plowing over there. I would recommend the original tri-rib style tires of the original size, but I would go with at least 6 ply, and more if you can find them.

If your willing to swap to 15" rims the 7.5L15 is a little wider, what I have on my 4000SU.
Other wise look at a set of 6.50-16 tri-ribs.
Truck tires and implement rib tire don't grip like tri-ribs.

I found a used set of implement rims that fit the bolt pattern & off-set, then later a used set of 11Lx15 tri-ribs.

The fatter the better but watch the OD so that the tractor will sit level. The 3 rib option mentioned is a win-win. BTDT

I like the look of the tire set up you have there!. It's just implement rims?. I never did this so I'm going to have alot of questions. Where can I get those at

Wish I could tell you, but I lucked out I guess & found 3 of them nearby on crgslst w/11Lx15 flotations. I put them on, then later found 2 used 3 ribs, also on crgslst. Just make sure the offset of the rims will work so they don't hit the spindles!
