paid 1250 for an 860 this winter. PO said that the carb was goofed up and rubber is so so. Fires right up but the needle and seat ain't right. But it started and ran. With this darned boot on it's really hard to work on stuff. https://sportsbraces.com/products/a...19Dv46rxRPX-n-Xz1C0dCF5ZI2KGENyUaAkjwEALw_wcB.

Anyway the starter needed some work and then I couldn't get the 3 point to work. Well I went out to mess with it today. Darn system was low on fluid!

Best of luck with it... often it takes a while for the hydraulic pump to reprime,, or the control valve is sticky and finally breaks loose...

Those boots are a bit annoying, but they do the job. I had one on this winter, bone spurs acted up in the left ankle, the boot quenched the fire, this was extremely painful.

Good news about the 860, sounds like a fair deal for what you paid. The carburetor is not all that difficult, get the Ford shop manual, should help with the hydraulics. Plus, by now, there are a lot of threads to research on this here. I've got a nice 640 I need to get into the hydraulics on, been too long since I have been under the lift cover on one of these, but thankfully some good posts on this over the years.
