Tw25 fuel screw

How far out was the fuel screw set on from the factory and how much can i play with it before i risk damaging it. Its farm used but the tractor is gutless as hell like litterally just falls on its face so i dont know if someones messed with it already or what but it only has 3400 hrs

I?d check the strainer in the lower tank and be sure
you have good flow to the pump before turning the
screw.
Wouldn?t hurt to check boost pressure either

What juniur said. If you can't make at least 15-20PSI of boost at full load, you most likely have a fuel
restriction somewhere. Either a plugged screen in the tank (very likely), or maybe a faulty check valve in
the lift pump.

There is no set dimension or number of turns for the fuel screw on the pump. That setting is made on a test
bench. It is adjusted until the pump flows "x" amount of fuel at a certain RPM for a certain number of
strokes. Lacking a test bench, this adjustment is best made with an accurate PTO dyno, which is what I'd
suggest your tractor visit if you can't find your fuel restriction.

How do i check boost pressure and where would the screen be on the bottom tank. Lately it hasnt been sucking from the bottom tank. Also put a new lift pump on it 2 years ago when we bought it. Planned on getting the injectors tested but i havent had time to do so.

Intake manifold should have an 1/8" NPT pipe plug in it. Screw a 30 PSI gauge in it and work the snot out of
it.

The fact that it "hasn't been sucking from the bottom tank" tells me your screen is likely very much
plugged. I would start there before bothering to check boost pressure. Screen is at the bottom of the #44
manifold. For some reason it's not listed separately.
