Couple 711 loader questions

Finally got to tinker around with the 951 I picked up a few months back. I mounted the 711 loader I had on my previous 961 and it works fine with the exception it drifts down slowly when the remote valve goes to it's neutral position. It held solid on the 961 so I assume it's a remote issue. Any adjustments that can be made on it? I also want to remove the short line and go directly into the remote. Can I just loosen the bolt on the top of the valve and spin the fitting to face forward? Or am I just asking for trouble with a gasket or washer on there that has probably been in place for 60 years or so?

I believe its an orb fitting so yes you can spin it forwards and retighten...

have you move the loader input...to the other hydraulic fitting to try to use the back side of the two way valve.. it may not leak down.. assuming your cyl is not leaking as it held fine on the 951.

Thanks Sotxbill! Worked like a dream. Spun the ORB fittings around, removed the hoses that I don't need and changed the input. Holds solid as a rock in all positions.
