2000 front weights

I just picked up another toy this week.. I picked up a late model Ferguson DEO20 hay rake For $250. The wife wanted to go for a drive so why not take the trailer and look at new toys. Well she got her drive and I upgraded rakes. I'm thinking ill put it on my 2000 3cyl gasser the 4000 might be a lil over kill.

My question is what options did ford make for a weight bracket for the front of my tractor. it had a loader when i got it and the front bolster has holes tapped for loader mount... is there a bracket that bolts in them, or am i dragging out the torch and welder and building a bracket.. I remember from years ago running dads NAA and a DEO20 it got kind light on the front when you lifted up and turned at the end of the field!!

I used a DEO20 behind my Jubilee, with no front weights. I doubt you'll need them. But no harm in having them...

2000 3 cylinder is a good bit heavier on the front than a NAA.
Had a neighbor that used a Ford 503 three point rake behind his 3000 for years without any weights.
If you do add weights I prefer the wheel weights on that style axle, don't care for the bumper weights

Where are you located? I just bought a Massey 35 with front wheel weights that I probably won't use.

I too have an unused, extra set of front wheel weights for 16" rims.

About 200 Lbs., total.

Well we unloaded the rake today.. We went to put it on the 2000 so I can hold it up and give it the once over and found another problem. it wont lift it clear to the top of the travel unless I hold the draft/position selector lever in the middle of the two positions. So the next free spot in the shop (after I get the neighbors 8n out) the 2000 is going to get the lift cover pulled to look and see whats going on.. I plowed snow most of the winter with it and even worked up moms garden with it.. Weights might have to wait, no need for them till I get it to lift...
