seat adjustment

On my Ford 640 with the rest-O-ride seat, is there an easy way to raise and move the seat further back? I'm a large person and I have a problem reaching the clutch and brake pedals. Is there a spacer that can be installed between the seat and the HYD housing? I'd like to raise the seat about 3'' and back about 3'.

Nothing factory-made, but several guys
have posted pictures here over the years
of spacers they've make for this issue.
Take a piece of 3x3 square tube, drill
the appropriate holes, and bolt it in
place.

As fordfarmer said make your own. cut angles at rear side so it doesn't interfere with draft spring. I usually cut angle at both sides so it
doesn't interfere with drop in seat spring in front but with the ROR it's flat bottom so no worries. I guessing you mean 3" back and not 3'

Thanks, I had a Ford 3000 that I made an extension out of 2 pieces of channel, drilled my holes and the welded the 2 pieces together. Seems I welded some nuts under the top piece before welding the the 2 pieces together. It's easier to bolt the seat onto the extension.

You can turn the bottom of the seat around by taking out the rollpins that go through the slots. there is circlips in the ends that hold the bushings in that has to come out too. just slide the rods out of the flat pieces and turn the base and reassemble. You will be able to move it back the length of the slots further than before.
