Morning friends. Ever since I got my used 65 3000 diesel and I'm cutting grass it chokes down when I hit big or tuff grass like the governor isn't working. I know it doesn't have a governor like a gas engine so what actually happens when they rev up? Is there something in or on the injector pump that can be fixed replaced or adjusted? I know something should happen as I see other diesel tractors start blowing black smoke when they get into thick stuff so they must be getting more fuel somehow. It's always puzzled me and I know some of you can help me with this. I'm still looking and thinking about a new tractor my wife gave me the go ahead but man it's hard to bite that bullet and get a note with one that's paid for. So if I can make this one run better it may help me decide to keep on keeping on! Thanks.
