4600 steering lash adjustments

I am ready to do the lash adjustment on my 4600 and looked in the service manual vol 4 part22 hoping to see it and found nothing. It has the toein adj and pump service. Did I miss it or is it somewhere else in the books? Wonder if there is a maintaince manual that has it.
 

Guess I missed vol 3 part 12 shows the adj. probably be a good idea to keep all the manuals in same place. off to the barn.
 
yes a 4600su. tried the adj and looks like the adjuster screw and the lock nut are froze. don't want to break the screw slot on adjuster , but the picture looks like the gear and all have to come out to clean threads. is there a easier way ?
another question, tomorrow the dash should arrive, my manuals are for 65-75 will that have a wiring diag for a alternator engine so I can hook up all the gauges.
 
try mild heat and then penetrant. can you wire brush the threads? once you can get that nut loosened, you can try the sector
adjustment.
 

Well finally got the nuts loose and did the lash adj per the book.Went well but still have play in the steering. probably need the bearing listed in above post.
