engine help

ok guys I got a nice 4 cyl web block to build. But after looking at it I might have a problem. I think the head bolt holes on the newer block are 9/16 and my head has 1/2 holes. I swear I remember a conversion stud kit for such a problem. Does anyone remember a part number or maybe even know where to get a set? Or any other solution with out breaking the bank..

I knew you wouldn't like the price - sorry I didn't warn you.

I suspect that you could drill the head for 9/16" holes without issue. You wouldn't be removing that much material, especially when you consider the fact that the existing holes are likely almost 9/16" already.

Thanks Bern.
I wondered about putting my magnetic drill on the head face and drilling the head out too... ill have to look at the rocker arms and see what it would take to drill them also.
I may have to call in a couple of favors with the local CaseIH dealer (he can order ford parts too) and see what he can do as far as the kit and price out the 9/16 bolts.

Ok just a dumb question where do the rocker arms get oil from?? IM wondering if boring out any of holes is going to get me in trouble getting oil to the rockers. A full set of bolts is less then $200, but a new rocker shaft is another $125. but thats still less then the local Case dealer quoted me for the bolt kit.. Oh FYI the Case dealer is over $250 less for the bolt kit then the local Ford NH dealer...
