Hub to flywheel. If you get it backwards, and force it together, you'll end up having a very bad day. Don't ask me how I know that.
Bottom line is, never, ever, suck a tranny to an engine with the bolts.

Got it bolted up.
Had to work Fast!
Using a boom pole and a diesel tractor inside a garage will just about gas you to death, even with all the doors and windows open.
As for forcing it back together with the bolts, THAT l didn't forget.
Not since I was about 19 and did it on an
F-100.
This one slipped together real easy.
