Ford golden jubilee

So I am just 16 and I have a Ford golden jubilee that belongs to my grandfather and I have been fixing it up for "drive your tractor to school day" and I don't have any of the books and I was just wondering what the top speed is down the road.

The tachometer says 14. That's with standard tires and no Sherman aux trans.
We don't know the tires and what accessories are on your grandfather's tractor.

You will not be the fastest of the bunch. Unless you have an overdrive Sherman in it.

Okay thanks I know the trany is not a Sherman and off the top of my head I don't Kno what the tire size is.

Also there is a pipe that comes
from the under Side of the
radiator and back in to the top
at the cap I think it is to
circulate the water but I am
not for sure. But any who I
cant tell if it was soldered or
braised In to place I know it
wasn't welded because it is
copper but it broke of and I
need to know what to use to do
it

the small tube soldered to the radiator near the cap is for radiator venting - if the pressure builds up enough the cap releases and the coolant/steam is vented thru the small pipe safely away - not uncommon to see the pipe broken off the radiator, and not the end of the world- always be careful around a hot engine and don't remove the radiator cap while the tractor is hot - with the pipe broken, should the radiator vent, hot liquid/steam will occur where it is a danger to hands/eyes/flesh of any sort -

What's the story on the tractor? when was it used last?

My grandparents had bought it
about 30 years ago and they
used to till the garden and
brush hog and what not but then
it was put away about 8 years
ago since then about 5 years
ago we had the carb rebuilt and
had it running for a week or so
then put it away and it has sat
there till now

I have been recently blessed to obtain a fully restored 1953 Golden Jubilee. I am an older guy and have decades of wonderful memories on a Jubilee as a child
through adulthood on the family farm.

This tractor has done its duty and will be used by us for community volunteer work, pulling floats, parades, etc. We would like to install a companion seat for
my wife to ride behind me for parades, etc. Does anyone know of a source for a safe and comfortable seat that we can install preferable using existing hitch
points?

Please advise and Thank you!

"In the radiator I think is water right now but what should I have in it"

It depends a little on your climate - here I run a 50:50 mix of anti-freeze and distilled water, good for freeze protection down to -20*F
