841-D, hydraulic oil in clutch housing area

My 841 hydraulic pump finally primed, lifted the arms, and very shortly thereafter developed a serious hydraulic oil leak from the hole in the access plate below the clutch housing - a place where there is not supposed to be any oil at all.

Here is what I know. The tranny oil level is right where it should be. The oil has been pumped out of the hydraulic oil reservoir to below the dip stick. The lift arms are up tight and will not lower by me pushing down on them.

Does this narrow it down to a hole in the high pressure tube? Is there a way oil could get there from the drive gear/cam? Is the end of that tube somehow sealed in the casting such that oil isn t pumped into the housing around the tube - because the o-ring at the manifold doesn t fit tight around the small tube? Lastly, could this system fail a pressure relief and cause a tube rupture?

Thank you!

For the record, I searched here on how to replace the tube. I purchased one from Broken Tractor and it did have the proper machining to reduce diameters. I used a 7/16-20 tap and rigged a spacer with washers and and a bolt and after a distinctive snap, the tube was an easy pull after about 1-1/4". I inserted the new tube and used a long 3/8 shoulder bolt placed inside and then drove that in with a 2 lb hammer.

Very grateful that experts here share their knowledge.

Thank you!
