Ford 8000 lower link splines

Hi,

After some advice, I am doing up an 8000 and the splines on the r.h. lower link mounting yoke and, to a much lesser extent, the shaft it sits on are pretty worn. It is not anticipated that the tractor will do much more three-point work, however it needs to be in a presentable condition.

I looked up the yoke on the parts system, its no longer serviced. So is it available from a non-OEM?....or does anyone have a suggestion on how to tighten it up on the splines?....I did contemplate drilling and tapping a thread in to force it tighter against the shaft.

Find one off of a later TW in a salvage yard. This updated design will allow you to clamp the arm onto the shaft.

James, if you were to share your location someone here may be able to help you find a tractor that is being parted out.

I'm in Britain, aware that this is primarily an American forum.......the 8000 is a bit of a rarity for us so its tough
