641 radiator

I need a new radiator for my 641, basically a work tractor. Anyone used the ones available from this site? Is the more expensive one a better unit? Not looking to save a buck, I want a good radiator. Should they be pressure tested before installing?

Any advice appreciated.

This site sells parts from a variety of wholesalers. Clancy makes the best radiator for your tractor, A&I is the most common supplier for Clancy radiators. A&I or Clancy may supply radiators for YT. If they do not, I would look elsewhere.

I agree with RickB, below.

Clancy, once a supplier to Ford, makes a good radiator. I expect that there are other good suppliers as well, but know that there are many aftermarket radiators on the market that are of inferior quality.

Whatever you buy, verify that it has a proper flat-finned, industrial core. Many of the low cost aftermarket radiators use automotive type cores. Automotive cores are not suitable for tractors other than trailer queens because the cores rapidly clog with debris.

Rather than buying new radiators, I've had several recored with good flat-finned cores. I'm spoiled because I have a GOOD radiator shop not too far away. This may or may not be an option for you because good radiator shops are becoming hard to find.
