My start safety switch has been bypassed (ignition switch wired directly to starter solenoid) but I quite like it as a feature. Taking the floor up (and sticking a pressure washer in there!) reveals this:
I can't seem to grip the rubber to pull it out (don't know how much slack there is underneath it anyway). I assume it's like this:

If I undo the bolts around the plate, does this expose the entire gearbox and would I be into a world of hurt?
