The original subject was "Ford 801 PowerMaster TransHydraulic Fluid".

Ran across this post and had the same questions. Don't mean to jack your post but If I was to drain all 3 , rear, transmission and hydraulics got any Ideal how much oil I would need? 5 gallon or would it be safer to get 10 gallons?
Thanks
Scotty

more than 5, less than 10.

the trans is 8 qts.

the hyds, by book capacity is 11.5, though you can get by with around 8.

even at low fill on the hyds.. you have just used 4/5 ths of your 5g pail.

you can either grab a couple extra gallon jugs of lube, or get another pail. many times the gal jugs ar 9ish$ and the 5g pail is about 35ish $.. so the extra pail usually makes more sense.
