Ford 801 Power Master

Hello everyone. Just bought a 801 Power Master and trying to understand what I have... So is 801 the series and then I found a set of numbers
stamped on the block on a flat surface under the breathed that has 841 over top of a longer series of numbers that I'm guessing is the serial
number. Does this mean I have a 801 series power master and a 841 model? and does the higher the model number mean the more options the
tractor would have? How do I tell what options this 841 has? I tried to attach a picture of the numbers I found
Thanks
Scotty

Model 841 is a 801-series tractor with 4 speed manual transmission, three point hitch, and non-live PTO. 129776 is the serial number which dates the production date as late 1960.

Thanks for the info Andy.. So basically the 841 models were the plane Jane bare necessary that had lift arms and PTO and a seat?? About like ordering a car with a.m. radio, bench seat and black wall tires...

Pretty much.

Oh, and the flat spot that those numbers are stamped into are part of the transmission bell housing, not the engine block.

At least they have live hydraulics.
Big improvement over the N series Fords.
Your tractor might have come with power steering too which was a great option.

Thanks for the info. Weren't quite lucky enough to have power steering. That would be great.. Do you know if a kit is available to make it power steering? Would it work of the hyd.pump or separate power pump?
Thanks
Scotty

Cool. So I don't have a real plane Jane but not quite a sweet Jane? Higher the numbers the more options?
Thanks

HaHaa! Yea ok..So a couple pieces of chrome, one side view mirror, maybe auto trans or 3 on the tree.. but defiantly bench seat.
Thanks
Scotty

Lol.. So probably straight 6 cyl. , bench seat, ash tray, 4 pieces of chrome and may or may not have power steering.
Thanks
Scotty

(quoted from post at 18:10:47 04/29/19) Okay thanks. But is the top number the model and the bottom number the serial number?
Thanks

Yes. 841 is the model number, which means it is a model within the 801 series that has a 4 speed transmission, 3 point hydraulics and non-live PTO.

129776 is the serial number which means it was made in 1960.

Thanks everyone for all the help. Got this ole 801 running. The carb. seems to be very simple but after over 10 years of not running I ordered a new or re manufactured carb. So the PTO works fine but how do I get the lift arms to work and where do I check the hyd oil for the hydraulics. Can't get the lift arms to work

There should be a hard rubber knob, on the left side by your heel. In the same circular cover where your pto lever is, which is the end of your dipstick.
