Ford 801 starter issue

I have a 6 volt 841 that will no longer turn over. I ve replaced the wire from battery to the solenoid, replaced the solenoid ( old one was cracked) cleaned or replaced all wire connectors, replaced the voltage regulator, charged the battery and cleaned the mating surfaces of the starter and chassi. The solenoid goes clunk and I get 6 volts at the starter stud. Any ideas on what else i can do to resolve or troubleshoot it?

You can jump the starter directly with a 12V battery or booster pak.
Not battery to battery, 12V battery to starter stud.
Make absolutely sure it's in neutral first though.
Let us know if you'd like detailed instructions.

You could also take the starter to have it tested.
If you actually read battery voltage on the starter stud when
the solenoid engages, odds are the starter isn't working right.
It would normally read quite a bit lower in my experience.

That will work. Make the connection to the chassis last if jumping
from a battery because whatever connection you make last will spark.
If made at the battery or at the starter stud, it could cause damage.
