ford 3000 Aftermarket Power Steering

I just installed a kit made in Turkey. Easy install and appears to be working properly with one problem. When turning to the left I get full turn however when turning to the right I am getting about half of a full turn . Anyone else have this problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I tried your method but it would not work for me.I had to shorted a tie rod end that attached to the steering knuckle and shorten the steering cylinder to the the proper stroke distances on the ram to correct . It works correctly now.

Glad you got it fixed. Maybe mine would have worked the way you did yours too. Putting the tractors side by side one could see the similarities and differences warranting our different approaches to get-r-done.

Yes and solved it by tweaking it properly.

To get mine to work, I had to move the "deadman" back one hole. Don't have any pic handy but the 1" (roughly) thick steel adapter with 2 holes in it whereby 2 bolts attach it to a mounting point on the main tractor frame (deadman for the cylinder to have something to push-pull against) is too far forward if you use both holes for mounting. Move it to the rear, still inline (horizontally) as it would be with 2 bolts in use, but just use the rear bolt hole on the tractor frame and the front hole in the bracket. The bolt is big enough to have enough tension, working alone, to keep it where it belongs.

If you need a picture I can get you one later in the day or tomorrow maybe.

Very happy with mine and was a good investment.

Other thing is on toe-in-toe out.......when you do a tight turn, if the outboard tire is digging ruts in your turf your toe-in (front of the tires are too close together) is too tight. I just did mine by trial and error without regard to the actual dimensions (front vs rear of tire comparison), just tweaked till it quit digging up turf.
