Spin on oil filter

Yes.
They are available here on this site.
I never saw any gain to doing it though.
If you really want to do it I have the
adapter block here and would trade you
straight across for your canister and
the adapter that screws into the block.
My 4000 has it but I want it to look
original.
My email is open.

A couple of the 20+ tractors I've owned had the old canister filters. Got to hate them - messier to change than spin-ons, and too easy to end up with a leak. Less likely to be in stock locally, too. If Luke's 4000 hadn't had the adapter when we bought it, it would have gotten one by now.

I put one on my NAA years ago and never regretted it. The old canister was a challenge to keep from leaking, yes I replaced the gasket and like Burn said, it's less messy to change.

I don't know why not. ebay has them for $35....large oring used to mount to engine block not shown but is in the kit, filter is Motorcraft Fl-1A easily
obtained at any parts store.
