Where were the Ford 2600 tractors manufactured?
How about the Ford 2000 Tractors?
When did manufacturing of the small Ford Tractors go overseas?

First off, there were two different Ford 2000 tractors. The earlier one had a 4 cylinder engine and was made form 1961-1964 (industrials only in 61-62), and as far as I know those were all made in the US.

The later 2000 tractors had a 3 cylinder engine and were made from 1965-1975 and were built simultaneously during the entire production run in the US and at two European plants, one in Basildon UK and the other in Antwerp Belgium. The serial numbers of all tractors made in the US started with the letter C, and all of the ones from the Antwerp plant started with A and all from Basildon started with B.

The 2600 was made from 1975-1981 and was also made simultaneously at the US and 2 European locations and had the same letters starting their serial numbers.

It wasn't until around 1986 or 1987, when they were making the 2910 that they moved all final assembly to the Basildon plant and only made sub-assemblies like transmissions, rear axles and hydraulic lift assemblies at the other plants.

The British kept busy from 1952-64 with manufacture of Fordson Majors and Fordson Dextas.
Late in the game, some Ford tractors were built in Japan and Mexico. The Ford tractor
plant in Belgium opened in 1964. Production of the Fordson Major under a new name continued
in Spain.
