Working on an Elenco axle for my 841 tractor. Put new bearings and races in axle but having issus setting pinion bearings. Looking for shims with 7/16 inch ID 2 inch OD. Have gotten several shims from Vintage Power Wagon, but nothing thick enough. Looking for total thickness of .205 inch. Anyone have any ideas?

If you have to shim something almost 1/4", that usually means something is drastically wrong, like a bearing or bearing cup is not seated properly. Most tapered roller bearings require no more than .030" or so max.

Try randys ring and pinion... Are a local shop that does differential repair they should have a box full of shims...
