801 compression

I have a 1958 for 801 gas engine, that is getting almost impossible to start and runs bad when running, all new tune up, no difference, ran a
compression test and got 80, 60, 65, 70 dry test, got 150, 120, 125, 130 wet test, tractor does not smoke, has a small amount of blow back at breather
vent, I mean small, I have noticed some bumbling between the head and block on the dist side of the motor, thought maybe blown head gasket, would
that be causing the bad comprression or am I looking at bad valves or bad rings still.

Your tests indicate excellent valves and worn rings. A bad head gasket usually results in low compression on two adjacent cylinders. I have had bubbling and got it stopped by re-torquing. My uncle had an 860 which for its first 15 years was worked very hard on many acres of corn silage along with many other jobs. It pulled the one row chopper in first gear hour after hour day after day, week after week until done. He had it re-ringed three times, without doing anything else to it.

Thankyou, that's what I was thinking, but I needed a second opinion , my tractor guru and friend passed in January , he was always my 2 nd opinion
before. Well I guess it's time to do a ring job.
