NAA Alternator pics

Friend has a NAA that someone added a alternator. I had a homemade bracket. Everything was out of line and crooked. I purchased a bracket online but now the alternator hits the exhaust. The pulley stuck out quite a ways to I brought it home and put a different pulley on it. Hope it works but the shaft still may hit. I'm wondering what some of yours look like?

If the belt lines up, then the exhaust is the problem. If belt does not line up, then the alt bracket is the problem.

Would a shorter belt allow you to adjust the alternator further in so that it wouldn't hit the exhaust?

I think they used the pulley of the generator and it sticks out to far so the bracket couldn't line up. I will try to find a picture. Will be over there later to see if new pulley helps.
