Select O Speed

Tryin too get an ole 57 801 runnin again and my paps told me a part "disenegrated" and he said it was part number 17 on this exploded view,And is it an easy part too get or is it even sold? Or would it have to be a custom made "one of one" part?

Part #17 is the shift cable part # C0NN7A476A
You'll have to check with your local NH dealer to see if one is still available, other wise you have to locate a used one.

#17 is actually the wiring going into the trans for the neutral safety switch. Should be very easy to duplicate if that's really what you need.

I rather suspect what you really meant was one of the two shift cable conduits, # 34 or 35 in the link below, or else the cable that goes inside one of them, which is #18 in your pic.

The parts listing says that #17 is the safety switch assembly, which looks like it includes the wire:

17 C0NN7A476A CABLE Assy., Tranmission Control Selector Neutral Switch 1
(Prod Date) after 01-JAN-1956;

I think you read that wrong. Part #17, in what you posted, is a cable assembly.

801s did not come out as '57 models. The 1st 801s were '58 models. The SOS transmission did not come out until January of '59. Therefore your 801 SOS is at least a '59 model and could be anywhere from there to '62.

Thats what hes said,But i figured maybe someone one here would be able too have a connection too one or somethin of some sort.I mean if someone had the degree on the bends we could make a new one but havent found an "801 Select O Speed" anywhere.
