Ford 3000 front loader pump and drive questions

Friend of mine purchased a 1970 Ford 3000 tractor ....
We tore it down and put a new clutch in it ..
Tractor runs like a top ...
It came with a superior front bucket which has obviously been over over loaded as the front end was chanted back ....
We have the majority of the front end repaired but m stuck at the pump that drives off the crankshaft..... I'm the gearhead and I dont understand mounting anything to crankshaft other than a good balancer.....
The shaft was pressed in the LBP coupler if I remember correctly the pump is Wagner....
My buddy tried using the front end loader after we got it all together and it immediately trashed the rubber coupler thing...
So..... .my question is .....
Is this the correct kind of pump system drive system for the 1970 Ford 3000 front bucket ?
Is there a better option for front pump one that doesn't drive off crankshaft?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
Tom

i have a 1967 ford 3400 with a ford 730 loader,it drives off the crank, and has a vickers vain pump on it,but i have never heard of a superior bucket.

There has to be some kind of pressure relief in the pump circuit. If it is a pressure
compensated pump, the stroke should go to zero when you reach the set pressure. If not,
the drive shaft becomes the weak link, or "fuse" for the system.

Crank driven hydraulic pumps are very popular in ag and industrial tractor apps.
John Deere has been using crank driven hydraulics since the 60's to run everything, loaders, 3 point lift, power steering, ect.
My 4500 is splined to the crank hub adapter with not rubber coupler.
Re check all of the loaders plumbing, sounds like a line might be crossed causing a pressure spike.
The loader valve should have a pressure relief valve to protect the pump from over pressuring.

Unfortunately you don't have enough post to load photos yet.

I'm definitely not hydraulic expert.

From what I am looking at in your pictures, all your drive parts are worn out. The shiny part on the left with the 4 big holes should have rubber bushings mounted in them. Look up Walts Tractor Parts in Mexico, Mo. I have a 75' 3000 with a ford loader and front pump and that is where I got my last shaft and coupling. That shiny piece with the big 4 holes is called a Morflex coupler #352 if I remember right. They sell the coupler ,shaft, and flanges to get you going. Look up ford tractor parts and go to hydraulics and loader parts. They have pictures and dimensions so that you can figure out what you need.
