Winter fun!

Hey all,

Chasing a little wood this weekend and found a spot I couldn’t get the tractor/trailer combo out of. Snow on the frozen ground limited my traction. At any rate, after disconnecting the trailer, I did manage to get the tractor home and a little wood. We are having an old fashioned winter here, I believe I am ready for spring.

Calling for single digits this weekend, will have to get another bycket full we left last weekend.

Sorry about the pics fellas, phone doesn't want to play nicely with the site which is unfortunate, less likely to post.

If you use an android go get an app called
photobaku.
There are Lots of photo editing apps out
there but I wanted a VERY simple one just
to rotate my photos here on YT.
It does the job nicely and doesn't reveal
my entire life with google, FB, etc.

Hi Chris! Editing has been disabled for a good while, maybe a year or more??? I don't know why.

I've heard St. Joseph schools haven't had a full week since before Christmas. Can that be true?

Hey Jerry,

Thanks for rotating the pic for me.

I've editted/rotated the photo 90 degrees on my Iphone and saved as a new photo, that was the second effort? Using my desktop it works fine and I can use "paint" to flop them when needed.

My dad is visiting MAYO in April, you still north from there?

Larry,

My boys attend a smaller country school, but it is entirely likely. It seems every week, some weather pops up. They missed 4 days one week I believe, due to drifting and near/below zero temps. They should get a full week this week, but there is a chance of freezing rain tonight, hopefully not too much.

I know it's been a difficult year in a lot of places, I have heard reports of numerous people having frozen to death due to a fall/can't get up and there were a couple of younger folks that didn't make it because they couldn't get back to their housing. One young man was trying to make it back to his dorm after drinking and didn't get there, while another fellows buddies dropped him off at his sister's house and she had locked the door. He froze just outside of the house. And most of the reported numbers likely don't include the less fortunate homeless, as I'm sure many of them haven't made it through in the colder areas. Ready for spring.

(quoted from post at 20:25:42 02/26/19) Yes.
Am about 100 mi north of there.
You coming up?

Jerry,

I don't expect to make the first "diagnostic" trip with them in April, but if there are future stays, who knows. It would be nice to meet.

Awhtx (Alan Harry) and DaveIA (Dave Hobbs) are the only other members I've managed to meet up with (years ago). I do think I met one of the SOS gurus at a National tractor show that happened to take place in Lathrop, MO in 2007. I attended a one day class on the SOS transmission that covered the basics.

I see Alan hasn't posted for over 5 years, man time marches on. I'm reasonably certain I will meet up with LarryNCKS some time as we share passions for Select-o-Speed tractors and more importantly, have a shared faith in the Lord. It would be nice to hear him preach sometime.

I've communicated with SoundGuy (Chris), Fordfarmer (Mark Hoesly) and yourself in the past as well and always enjoyed the interaction. I'm sure I am leaving some folks out, as I have been away for a while myself, but I can say I have never had a bad experience with the folks on this site. I will let you know if I make it up that way this spring or summer.

Chris

Too bad we didn't meet at Lathrop. I was there for a day as well. BTW, I'm preachin' this Sunday, Lord willing, near Abilene, Kansas.
