I am new here so please don't give me too much crap about my first post.
I have a 71 5000 with hydraulic assist steering that was way past its prime. So I decided to go with an aftermarket steering setup. I changed the arm that goes on top of the driver side spindle, I gutted all of the factory parts and installed the new. My steering box turns clockwise when the wheel is turned right. That is a problem. It needs to turn counter clockwise to move the wheels right. I ordered a manual steering box for a 5000. I thought that would do the trick but it is the same. Has anyone run in to this problem before? I need some advice. I am about to give up.
