Tisco remote valve question

I have one of the Tisco style dual remote valves.
It has a screw on the front that is marked "quick drop" or similar.
Does that screw adjustment also make one pair single acting?

Back story - one pair of hoses works in dual acting mode, the other
pair does not. Only works one way. I need them to work both ways.
The screw is stuck solid. I can't turn it. I've tried an impact driver
and penetrating oil, etc. Can I heat it without burning out seals?
I don't want to ruin the rest of the valve as it seems to work
perfectly well other than the one pair of hoses being single acting.

The second handle was replaced after this picture was taken.

I thought that I had the materials that come with the TISCO dual remote valve pictured but I just looked through my files and cannot find it.

I sold a complete new, unused TISCO valve package (everything, valve, hoses, couplings, brackets, bolts, etc.) a couple of years ago and must have included the manual with the package.

I have the identical valve on my 55 860 but have never turned the screw in question. Currently (as shipped), both valves act double acting (I believe).

I'll make a closer visual inspection later today. Are you speaking of the screw with the jam nut?

Dean

If that's supposed to be a jam nut Dean, that may explain my
dilemma. The nut on mine has been arc welded to the housing.

I have three of those valves, one new set still in the box.
I'll look to see if there's any paper work with it.
I have a few of the single remotes as well and have adjusted that screw on the front.
When the screw is in the valve is set to double action.
When it's turned out it's set for single action and doesn't have any down pressure.

After a second look, I believe that the "screw" with the jam nut is the broken part of the pivot point for the second lever.

Poor choice of pictures on my part Dean, I just wanted to show
the style of valve. You are correct, what is in that first picture
is the pivot point and I have since fixed that.

The screw and jam nut I'm talking about are on the other end
of the valve. At the front when mounted. Here is a picture I just
took. Does it look like the screw is turned in or turned out
compared to a working one?

Well, I figured out that is not the adjustment I'm looking for.
The adjuster for the other side is what I have the screwdriver
pointed to at the top of this picture. As you can see, the side in
question, at the bottom, has a big empty hole there. No adjuster.

Sure wish I had the book for this valve. When I turn the adjuster
out on the top/right side, that spool works as single acting as expected.
But my 3 pt hitch no longer functions at all. Turn it back in, all good.
Anyone have a complete, working one of these valves they'd like to sell?

Royse you can look that valve up in the Ford parts books.
It shows up I'm my 4000 parts book but not in my service manuals

I did find the valve in my 10 series service manuals with a description on how it works.

Not sure why it copied these photos sideways.

I have a couple of these valves but have a use for them, here's a pic of a new one with the part number, there wasn't any paper work in the box.

Thanks Destroked, this was very helpful!
I didn't think to look in the parts book.
