I have a '71 5200 with wide front axle. I would like to move the front axle from the front position (row crop) to the back position (utility) which is right at the oil pan.My question is has anyone ever done this move? I understand that once its in the utility position, the tie rods now have to be fliped around to the front. Also they might need a bracket that extends from the steering plate sector.Anybody done this before?

a nice 5200 gasser (not mine). Note right behind the front wts, a bracket comes down from sterring plate. Tie rods attached to it

7600 same as 5200, axle in row crop position. This doesnt have a bracket extension.

I just saw the parts you need a few days ago on Facebook... either the Blue Power Fan Page or Ford and New Holland Enthusiasts We Bleed Blue page.

Hi Mark, thanks for the tip, any idea what the offical name of that part would, in case i start lookin for it in the local wrecking yards.

Found the post... it's on Blue Power Fan Page. But the parts he has (calls them trunnions and a steering bracket) are the leftovers from doing the same change you're talking about doing... so that won't help you.
