TN65 Rear wheel bolt pattern

It's time for new rear tires on our TN65
and it currently has 16.9-24s on it and I
would like to go up to 28 or 30s to help
with the really low drawbar height (it's
2wd so don't have to worry about matching
front tires. Is there anything special
about the bolt pattern or is it just 8 on
8 like the old Fords? If it is special,
what other models share the same pattern?

I can?t say for certain but I?d bet it has a metric pattern. The hardware is metric and just about the whole tractor is as well.

I took my tape measure out this afternoon and checked the wheels to see if I could get a better idea of what it might have. First thing I noticed was the centers are made by Titan which is promising for them being standard and not metric. Anyway, the wheels measured 8? on the dot for bolt circle and the center hub looked to be 6? across. I may have to pull a wheel from our 6610 to see if the bolt circle is the same. That would verify an 8 on 8 with 6? hub center.

Well that?s encouraging. The 6610 will be stud piloted with chamfered lugs. The TN is hub piloted with metric hardware and no chamfer on the disc. That will be a challenge. I?ve never seen metric wheel hardware with chamfers. Some of the early Ford MFD axles used a chamfered washer to adapt.

This tractor does have the flat holes in the center, so that would mean it is a metric pattern? If so, what is the common metric pattern that would be so close to 8 on 8"? Would it be an 8 on 200mm bolt pattern with a 150mm pilot hub? It sounds like these wheels are going to be tougher to find than I thought...

Look at the parts pages on the New Holland site. That lists specific part numbers for various widths of 28" rims and centers for that model tractor.

It looks like the part numbers for the center cross over to the TL, TN, TD, Workmaster -35 series, the newer Case Farmall 55-75, and a handful of
Fiat tractors.

I can?t help you with dimensions but I see you have identified other CNH models that use the disc and rim you need. I?d think TN?s and 35 series tractors would be in salvage to some degree.
