Hey ya'll. I've got a question. I just replaced nearly everything on the ignition system on my tractor. Plugs, wires, coil, cap, rotor and the push button switch.before I did all this it only cranked over 2 or 3 times before it started. Now I have to crank it at least 1/2 a dozen times, stop and repeat 1 or 2 times before it'll start and I have to leave it choked a min or 2. I didnt need to do that before,it ran like a champ. I haven't touched the points and condenser yet.I know I have to do this I just haven't gotten around to it yet.Could this be the problem?

Am thinking you had better put the spark plug wires back in the proper order. Firing order is 1,2,4,3, number 1 being in front. The distributor turns in a clock wise direction

In addition to Wayne's good advice, I would say don't change the points or condenser since, as you said, it ran like a champ before you
did all this. One thing is, did you put the metal clip into the new rotor? Most new rotors don't come with them and the rotor won't fit
tight on the shaft without it. You may have to pull it out of the old rotor (did the old rotor need replaced? Sometimes a bit of cleaning
and making sure the center contact is touching the button on the cap is all they need.) Is the new cap seated in the right place on the
dist.? Are the HT leads fully seated in the cap? -Will
