Advice on Ford 600 please!

Hi there,
New member wondering if someone can help me better identify the tractor I'm considering.
It is a Ford 600, not sure of model. It has a PTO but no 3 point hitch installed.
I'm wondering if this unit was made to accommodate the hitch and what kind of work I might expect (cost) to add if so.
The owner does not know a whole lot more at this point, will be sending more pics to help me soon. He did say there if a hydraulic unit on the side of the tractor that is not in use.
Any help/ advice us appreciated!

(quoted from post at 08:24:01 01/24/19) I should add that this is a 1955 tractor.

Get the numbers off the flat spot on the engine right above the starter...should look something like this

It appears that the whole hydraulic top cover/lift assembly is missing.
Since hyd pump (if present) has been out of use for probably a very long tome, I would not count on it working. They hyd tubes feeding thru the transmission would be suspect as well, for same reason.

If that tractor does not have FACTORY
hydraulic pump and 3 point hitch I would
walk - period.
The cost for all the parts to convert it
would be prohibitive.
What makes these little Fords so darned
useful is the the 3 point hitch. Without a
3 point it's just another old drawbar
tractor and not the best one at that.

This sounds like great advice, even if it's not what I was hoping to hear!
Looking for a Ford style tractor like this one, perhaps an 8n ect. in or around Maine...if anyone knows of someone up this way with a great running unit please send them my way!

Look on the right side to the rea where motor bolts on tranny and see if there is something that looks like a pump with two lines running back to the transmission. if there is then the three point probably has been removed for some reason.

Mike that 600 is a beauty, but to get the lift working will set you back probably $1500 or so assuming that you can get a good cover and pump reasonable which is likely. The tires look like they could be the originals from the tread style, so you would probably need new ones soon. To get that tractor up to average would cost you around $2300.00.
