I am putting in a new transmission clutch on a Ford 850. I also removed the flywheel to make sure that there was nothing leaking behind the flywheel. Transmission input-shaft seal was leaking also.
I figured that is long as I had the flywheel off, I would mark the the timing marks with a yellow marking pencil. I wire-wheeled the flywheel and I cannot find any timing marks anyplace on that wheel. I had another flywheel from a 821 and it has the marks showing good. The flywheel from the 850 is a lot thinner than the one from the 821 with a 4 speed transmission. Anybody ever see something like that. The only evidence of any marks a very small notch on the side of the flywheel.
