Power Steering Pump

Hello All,

I was hoping somebody might know a good place to find a used
power steering pump for my 1963 4000 HD Industrial. It is a belt
driven pump with a round reservoir on top. I was also curious if you
think it?s the same pump as what is on a 62-65 Ford Fairlane. They
look identical.

Thanks.

If it looks like this one then yep! It's a Eaton pump, same one that they used on their cars. Might have a different mounting bracket (removable), but the same pump.

Yeah that looks like it. The only difference is on my reservoir the
return line is on the front and goes into the radiator oil cooler.

Just a note that may save you some grief and $$$$$.

Years ago I bought a salvage 4000 4 cyl with PS. The pump was out and I was short on cash so I thought I'd just go to a wrecking yard and get a pump off an old car. Found a Pinto and got that pump, rigged a bracket and all that and away I went........sorta. What I didn't realize was that the Pinto had a single steering cylinder through which to move fluid back and forth while the Ford tractor had 2 cylinders. The GPM of the pump didn't suffice for the requirements, even though I rigged up the highest rpms on the pump (pulley ratios) I could for the situation at hand.
