Mf50 hoe on ford 4000?

Potentially have the opportunity to buy a backhoe that is stated to be from a Massey Ferguson 50a. The ad States that it has a bracket to fit a Ford 4000. I don't know which series though. The hoses and cylinders are old and leaky apparently. It is stated that this unit does function though. Is $500 a good price for such a unit? And has anybody heard of this set up being used before?

The backhoe would be a MF model 54, or 54s if it was on a MF50A industrial. If it has the brackets to go on a 4000 someone probably fabricated the mounts. I have seen a Ford model 755 backhoe on the back of a Massey Ferguson which used modified Ford mounting brackets so anything's possible. Only real downside on the MF backhoe is that it used a hydraulic swing motor rather than cylinders, the hydraulic swing motor is bulky, and heavy should you need to repair it.
